“The Korea Home Network Industry Association" was founded in joint with various industrial fields to develop the core industries of new growth powers in IT, such as Home Network Industry and Broadband Industry, to advance the age of U$20,000 GNP.
It has very important responsibilities to actively respond to the rapid changes in the information telecommunication environments of the world, to contribute to the sound development of Korea's information telecommunication industry through mutual cooperation for public interests, and to effectively interact with the construction of national and social information infrastructures.
In order to fulfill the above responsibilities, we aim to manage our organization towards the following:
First, we plan to establish "broadband integrative network" based on one of world's best ubiquitous infrastructures for the fluent connection of wired, wireless, and broadcasting networks. This has not yet been attempted anywhere in the world and it includes all plans that lead to the improvement of the standing of broadband IT infrastructures and of Korea's IT industry in large.
Second, we aim to construct Digital Home Network system that can provide convenient and extensive home digital services anywhere at any time based on a well-connected infrastructure. The vitalization of Digital Home Network system will create new market demands and new value added in all IT industries and construction industries of Korea, including telecommunication services, information devices, and contents and will be extended as a new strategic concentration of Korea in the age of global competition in cooperation with governmental policies.
Third, we will vitalize the communications between various industries.
We will connect telecommunication providers, NI/SI providers, and device manufacturers and promote exchange of opinions to actively solve any complaints and suggestions the industries have through governmental support.
Fourth, we promise to achieve stability in Korea's IT industry and to reinforce cooperations with and support from overseas information telecommunication providers for our members to penetrate into international markets.
Above all, we ask for your devoted cooperation for The Korea Home Network Industry Association to become Korea's leading organization in IT. We promise to make our fullest effort to fulfill our duties for the construction of "u-Korea" and would appreciate your considerations and advices.
